About Perdomo

Perdomo's roots run back to 1930s Cuba, where Silvio Perdomo trained at Cuesta y Cia and later worked alongside his son as an executive at the famed Partagás factory. Both men opposed the communist revolution. Silvio was imprisoned for more than twelve years, and Nick Sr. escaped execution before emigrating to Miami, where his son Nick Perdomo Jr. started rolling cigars in his garage in 1992. The first Nicaraguan factory opened in Estelí in 1995, replaced by a larger facility built to Nick's specifications in 1999. Today Tabacalera Perdomo is one of the largest factories in Estelí and fully vertically integrated, handling every step of the cigarmaking process.
