The Tatuaje Havana VI Verocú was released in 2007 as a limited edition line extension to the Havana VI ("red label") line that was a strong Nicaraguan blend made at My Father Cigars S.A. in Esteli, Nicaragua covered by a very dark, thick Ecuadorian wrapper. The cigar is technically not a maduro but it has a very dark appearance. Boasting a slightly stronger blend than Havana VI, all six sizes of the Verocu are now regular production. They have the Havana VI red band with a secondary red and silver band displaying "Verocú." Cigar Aficionado online, Dec. 1, 2015: No. 4, 90 points, "Draped in a dark and toothy wrapper, this gleaming robusto has a firm draw that delivers big notes of licorice and vanilla bean before a nutty finish." No. 9, 90 points, "Handsomely rolled with a three-sean cap, this cigar leaves strong impressions of earth, licorice and vanilla bean on the palate before a pleasingly cherry finish."
