In 2006, the J.C. Newman Company introduced the Stanford’s 90th Diamond Crown Maximus cigar to pay tribute to Stanford Newman who turned 90 in June 2006. He was the oldest living cigar professional in the business at the time, and sadly passed away 2 months later. The Diamond Crown Maximus Stanford 90 uses an 18-year-old West Africa Cameroon wrapper grown by the legendary Meerappfel family, and extremely aged tobacco throughout the blend.
