LA NOX: The La Flor Dominicana La Nox is the brainchild of Antonio (Tony) Gomez, son of brand founder Litto. This cigar has been under development for two years. Antonio has had two limited production releases before that were announced at the IPCPR Convention that were highly successful: the Chapter I and the Capítulo II. The La Flor Dominicana La Nox will also be a limited production release, so it is important to grab them up because it is unknown when they may ever be released again, however Antonio Gomez has indicated that the La Nox will be a continuous limited release. The La Flor Dominicana La Nox is a very unique release from La Flor Dominicana. Firstly, the packaging is quite modern by LFD standards. The packaging will be in a circular style box that is magnetically attached to its lid with a theme of the night, “La Nox” is “The Night” in Latin. The bands will also reflect this motif. Both the band and boxes use a night time scene with the font being inspired by that of Vincent van Gogh, famous for his “Starry Night.”The cigars feature well-fermented leaves. The wrapper is a shiny, black Brazilian Cubra Maduro, the binder is Mexican San Andrés, and fillers are a 100% Dominican blend of Piloto and Pelo de Oro leaves grown at Estancia La Flor de la Palma in La Canela. The cigars were rolled at La Flor Dominicana’s Tamboril factory.According to La Flor Dominicana, La Nox, “It’s smooth smoke and rich flavor were crafted for elegance and power. The result is a cigar that embodies its name and the serene experience that only the night can provide.” According to Tony Gomez, La Nox is medium-full, but smooth—and of course dark.
