Padron Cigars has been fairly quiet on the cigar’s specifics, except that the cigar is a Nicaraguan puro available in both natural and maduro versions and is 6 x 46 ring Corona. Both are offered in 10-count boxes. The Padron Black No. 89 has a look quite unlike other Padrons due to its black-and-gold band that is not box-pressed and is reputedly based on a small-batch store exclusive that was aptly named the José O. Padrón 89 Birthday Blend that also sported the rarely-seen black and gold band.
